“Disuse” is the first individual exhibition of Aloma Lafontana in Barcelona showed in Oslo Graphic in April 2017.”
Aloma Lafontana explores the relationships between the inner world of women and the objects that surround them, proposing a journey through the oneiric world of the ornamentation with sculptures adapted to the body where the feelings and sensations come alive in front of the viewer.
For the collection Disuse, Lafontana used natural and upcycled materials as a dialogue between increasing consumption of human beings and their relationship with the ecosystem of the planet. Disuse is a statement about the conjunction between the body and the ornament where the dressed object acts as an element of the superposition of meanings.
