Armor 1

Cow bones and leather
Personal artwork

Armors are a reviewing of the old clothing for defense. They come from the ancient times
simbology but in order to protect the needs of nowadays society. I've always felt attracted
to the Armors as aclothing for confrontation and its giving usage through history.
In many Native communities, the armor was imbued with spiritual protection as well,
which sometimes was believed even more powerful than its physical aspects.
Even that the armors are pieces almost out of use, this project reflects the paradigmatical
social structure, putting population constantly to confrontation states.

Cow symbolizes Mother Earth for many cultures, as well as fertility, nurturing and power.
In ancient Egypt, the cow was a symbol for fertility, richness and renewal. It was the mother
of the Sun and the personification of the Milky Way. It is the hope of survival, the ruler and
body of the sky, the living soul of trees and, for some, also is the Queen of the World of Dead.
